"So I started on my current work with a few things in mind.
I wanted to bring accross in the work a sense of a connection with the past.
I wanted the work to have an aged, ancient look or feeling that it may have come from a past culture.
I wanted to use some primative imagery and design. It seemed the ancients had a simple interpretation of their world and I like that.
If I could combine some of the colors and textures from the natural world with these basic, universal images maybe I could create some pieces with a spiritual or mystical sense about them"
