JKBlackburn.com features the ceramic artwork of Jon Kevin Blackburn. I am a ceramic artist who currently lives and works in Stanwood, Wa. My work is the result of over 40 years working on and off in ceramics. The work is primarily focused on the creation of distinctive Funerary and Cremation Vessels. Each peice is handcrafted and one of a kind. The earthenware ceramic pieces are a combination of handthrown, handbuilt and assembled vessels with a variety of organic surfaces, textures and colors. The vessels are designed to hold safely the precious contents inside with a natural leather fastening system.
